Recorded at Wind Tide, in Littlefield, Texas, on June 1st, 2024, by Andrew Weathers.
"This session came out of a collision of overlaps following the first Tierras Sonidas fest down in Far West. Veronica took us all on a sound walk at the art farm outside of Lubbock where we listened to the wind from the perspective of the tumbleweeds. Sounds came out like pouring liquid into a vessel, something slightly lighter than molasses. Hollow and full at once.
We will likely never be in the same room at the same time again, but I think we made the music that needed to be made. I remember chugging down black coffee with my horn pulling down at my neck. We barely got above a whisper, privileging the quiet not out of fear but respect. Static but continuously emerging."-Editions Glomar

She works at the intersections of art and creative research in ecology, sonic arts, text, archives, magic, sculpture, video, and performance. Her work in sound focuses on soundwalks, field recording, text scores, composition, multichannel audio, improvisation, live performance, and Deep Listening. Veronica's interest in Deep Listening emerged during an artistic growth period in Houston, Texas with mentor David Dove and the organization Nameless Sound, formerly the Pauline Oliveros Foundation Houston.
